FARO Focus · 3D laser scanning
First, we capture.
Then, we create.
We use FARO Focus 3D laser scanning to capture the yacht before design and manufacture. This digital survey brings the vessel’s geometry into our development process.
From deck contours to support positions and fixing points, the system is designed around the yacht itself. Advanced measurement, 3D engineering and in-house production work as one.

01Flush deck mounting
A discreet connection between system and yacht. Flush mounts in 316L stainless steel integrate with teak decking and preserve the clean lines of the deck.
02SS316 & carbon-fibre poles
Our system is available with SS316 stainless-steel poles, polished or powder-coated, or with carbon-fibre poles. Diameters range from 60 to 140 mm, selected to suit the geometry and requirements of the project.
03Premium marine fabric
Custom-made sailcloth selected for resistance to UV, salt and water. Carefully cut and finished to suit the geometry of your yacht.
04Crestron integration
All our motorised shading products can be integrated with the yacht’s Crestron system, bringing sails, awnings and motorised privacy screens together in one control interface. Smartphone operation and automated wind and rain sensors complete the system.
05Harken redirects & pulleys
For redirect rollers and pulleys, we select hardware from internationally recognised yachting brands such as Harken. Components are chosen as part of the complete HOTEND system.
06Considered connections
Polished, corrosion-resistant wall-mount brackets in 316L stainless steel connect the shade system to the yacht’s structure. Fixing details are resolved as part of your project.

We’re back
in yachting.
Our connection to life on board began long before today’s sail systems.
Twenty-five years ago, HOTEND delivered the complete awning and shading package, alongside interior work, for M/Y Christina Onasis.
Today, we return to yachting with our own developed shading system, advanced 3D scanning and manufacturing, and the same care for every detail.
